Winding, a video and poem at Qarrtsiluni

Qarrtsiluni has published a video and poem I made with Jo Hemmant and Michelle McGrane, titled Winding. It was a pure joy to work with Michelle and Jo, who are both talented artists and lovely people. Thanks again to Dana, Nathan, and Dave for creating the opportunity for collaboration.

I’m amazed that you three are doing all of this in addition to your own blogs (not to mention lives). Loved reading about the process, and the poem was vibrant. The video was streaming very slowly. I only saw the beginning, river, trees, nature. I’ll try again at a different hour and hopefully have better luck.

Amazing work. I was spellbound. So powerful and haunting…yet still beautiful. I loved reading about the process and how it all came together. You three make a terrific “one.” Excellent!

    First witch:
When shall we three meet again,

    Second witch:
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
    When the hurly-burly’s done,
When the battle’s lost and won.

    Third witch:
That will be ere the set of sun.

    Hi Christine –

I know you’ve been delving into the video/multimedia poetry concept.

I really liked “Winding”. Very well done — bravo to you, Michelle, and Jo… Good work!

I’ve just posted another of my animated graphics versions here: Swept Away

I’m in final production at the moment on another that uses video footage, as you do in your pieces.
